This is more of an idea than a recipe. Last week I'd made some curry katsu pork and had some of the sauce and sticky rice leftover. I rejigged this into a new recipe by seasoning the rice with rice vinegar, sugar and salt, then mashing some roasted squash with the curry sauce and using this as the filling for some rice balls. I served this with a mustard, soy sauce and mirin dipping sauce and topped it with shichimi togarashi (Japanese 7 spice). It was so delicious and has really inspired me to make better use of my leftovers. I hope to post some new ideas soon!
